I use drawing to construct the figure by its contour.

Line allows me to insinuate form
without rendering it through shading,
allowing viewers to interpret
the space of the figure for themselves.

Drawing from memory of sight and touch
allows my work to communicate
the psychological connection
between artist and subject.
My forms become confused of their sex
and physical competency.
Finding commonality of form
and structuring the body
without regard to its anatomical correctness,
allows the figure to project its state of mind
through the mangled abstraction of its parts.
